Program:
Students are
expected to:
i)
hold the recorder properly and make a clear, controlled sound
ii) identify notes (# of
beats) and rests both verbally, in writing, and through playing (see Counting
Music)
iii)
identify a treble clef, a measure (or bar), bar lines, and a double bar line
iv) identify the
following terms: lento or largo, andante, allegro, crescendo, decrescendo
v) play three short
pieces as an individual or within a small group
...one slow piece (lento or largo)
...one medium speed piece (andante)
...one fast piece (allegro)
vi) write a written
theory test on the above topics
