We know that children who read at home as well as at school are much more advanced in their reading than comparable children who read only at school.

Our home reading program has started for the year 2002/2003.  

Each child has been given a set of monthly calendars. Starting in December, children circle each day that they read or are read to. At the end of the month tear off the calendar page and return it to school.  Please total the days at the bottom of the calendar and make sure your child's name is on each page. 

To encourage children to read our Mouse Mountain PAC is providing book prizes when goals are reached. Goals are 30, 75, 125, 175 and 200 or more days.  *We have a wide range of books at an appropriate level for all readers.
