Recommendations for assessment and evaluation


Focus:
how to effectively engage students to develop an awareness and sensitivity of other cultures.
This Webquest learning system asks that you:
... act as a travel agent and create a travel brochure that recommends from 2 to 3 travel destinations within the province of Quebec. Then choose from the following themes:
  1. cultural sites
  2. entertainment sites
  3. recreational sites
  4. or combinations of sites.
Be sure to include the following information:
1. geography
2. language

Webquest and Travel Brochure Rubric
Evaluation and assessment need to reflect the learning outcomes of the project. For this reason, we are providing this assessment rubric for that purpose.
Teachers can use this rubric OR create their own. Another effective course of action is to create an assessment rubric through consultation with students. This process helps to develop added value to the use of technology embedded within curriculum projects.
