School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is pleased to announce its enhanced educational partnership with Rio Tinto.
Working closely with local Rio Tinto representatives the School District has secured (3) three years of funding from the Rio Tinto Canada Fund to support various career focused initiatives throughout all the communities served by our school district. Elementary and High School students will benefit greatly from this new support; as the school district works to further develop career awareness activities and initiatives that are “real and relevant” to our region. School District No, 91 will further expand its educational programming in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, skill development and trades awareness.
Additionally, this new funding will allow School District No. 91 to further support its annual youth entrepreneurship conference (I-Cubed) and to further explore unique and sustainable programming with its many post-secondary partners. School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is very appreciative of Rio-Tinto’s generous contribution of $90,000 over the next three years.
School District 91 prides itself on our strong community connections and are excited to add Rio Tinto to our local and regional portfolio of companies we proudly call our “Partners in Education”
