Spring Registration for Preschool, Kindergarten & Out-of-Catchment Information

Pre-registration for children entering Preschool or Kindergarten in September 2026 will begin on February 2, 2026, at the times listed below.

NOTE:  Students who will be entering Grade 1 in September 2026 and who are presently enrolled in Kindergarten do not need to register.

Registration Requirements:

  • Preschool children must be at least 36 months old by September 2026.
  • Kindergarten students must be five (5) years old by December 31, 2026.
  • Please bring the child’s ‘Care Card’ or ‘BC Services Card’ and birth certificate. We encourage immunization to be up to date prior to starting school. Inquiries regarding immunization can be made by contacting the Health Unit.

Out-of-Catchment Application Reminder:

*** This process is not the same as school or kindergarten registration. ***

Applications can be submitted starting March 9 until May 15, 2026.  Parents wishing to have their child (or children) attend a school out of their home catchment area must complete the Out-of-Catchment application form at the school they are hoping to attend next school year. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis up to May 15, 2026. Parents & guardians should also register their students at their home school to ensure space, in the event that their Out-of-Catchment application is not approved.
