Ready, Set, Learn
The Ready, Set, Learn program fosters positive connections between families, schools, and local community agencies. Focused on families and their three-to five-year old children, these programs provide support for smooth transition processes from the early years into school settings to building a solid foundation for successful social, emotional, and cognitive development throughout a child’s entire life.
Community-based Early Learning Screening Events
In collaboration with early years community agencies, the school district invites families and their three- to five-year old children to an Early Learning Screening Event that is held in each of the four main communities once a year. At this event, caregivers will have an opportunity to have their child attend a hearing, dental and/or vision screening as well as the completion of an Ages and Stages Questionnaire. In addition, they will meet a line up of SD 91 team members, such as a StrongStart educator and kindergarten teacher.
